How We Began

Jared Casey, Executive Director of I Am Recovery, faced a few trails with the community in the beginning of operating sober living homes. He was looking for a way to connect the community for understanding, to foster human connection, and end the stigma on addiction.

Arena Talks began as a way to invite the community inside to meet and cultivate understanding with those in recovery. Arena Talks brings in people who are currently in recovery programs across Utah County, their family and friends, and all neighboring communities together to listen to speakers telling their story of hitting Hell hard and their hero’s journey forward.

Arena Talks has hosted alumni of recovery programs, a Netflix star, authors, fathers, mothers, couples, and everyday folk to share their journey and inspire others to continue on the hero’s journey together.
